Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

After a long day in the sun at Noah's Ark, this place sure hits the spot. Pizza is average, my personal favorite is the garlic cheese pizza. Chicken, ribs, homemade chips are all good. The Catcus bread is awesome. All for around $10 per person, not too shabby.

Located on the main drag in Lake Delton, the Pizza Ranch is AOK. You can order in, out, or hit the buffet. After spending all day at a waterpark in the area, this here ranch of pizza is a darn good choice. However, when it gets busy their little pizza buffet bar can get swamped, and you'll see people hovering around waiting for the next few fresh pizzas to be put out. Then there is me, I'm the weirdo strategically sitting at a table in such a way that I can view the buffet from sitting position, and then make a mad dash for it when the fresh stuff comes out of the kitchen. That way I can stalk the buffet from the comfort of my own table, and only my poor dining companions are acutely aware of my stalker tendencies. Muhahahaha!!

My kids adore Pizza Ranch and we've been to several different locations. Once you've been to one, you've really been to them all. :) As soon as we paid at the counter when we came in, they asked if we had any special requests (which we always do - garlic cheese pizza) and when it came out, they served us themselves. You really can't beat it. Good pizza, nice moist chicken...

This place was a fine stop. I'm writing for those who have noticed they have gluten free pizza. It is $13 and not offered on the buffet. In addition, the bbq chicken looks like it would be gluten free but is a fried chicken covered in bbq sauce. Kids were happy, I ate a salad and we all did fine.

Good food for the price. Feed five people for under $60 you cannot go wrong! Pizza is hot and fresh and the chicken is always good!

Having been out of the Pizza Ranch footprint for almost two years, my husband and I were eager to dine at a Pizza Ranch once again, and this location did not let us down. Overall, Pizza Ranch has very good pizzas. They have a wide variety of offerings, and their chicken pizzas in particular are enjoyable. They also offer chicken, potatoes, salad, and other options for those who enjoy a bit more variety. The cactus bread is a favorite of mine, though the other dessert pizzas are okay, too. I almost always find service at Pizza Ranches to be excellent, and this location is no exception. Granted, we went this month, so the restaurant was almost completely empty, but even still the staff was friendly and quick in removing plates. And, of course, their ranch decor is always fun. The bathrooms are a bit sketchy, but it looks like this is a fairly recent purchase of Pizza Ranch, so hopefully they'll get them redone sometime soon. All in all, a pleasant Pizza Ranch experience!

The facility lacks seating for the amount of people. There was a long line for pizza and as soon as the pizza came out, it was gone immediately. They could not keep up with demand. Limited choices. The chicken was dry and not replenished. The salad bar lacked ranch dressing.

I actually really liked it. I was thinking it was going to be Pizza Hut or CiCi's pizza quality but it's much much better. Don't get me wrong, it's not "THE BEST PIZZA I HAVE EVER HAD". It's good for the price. Not only do they have pizza, they have a full salad bar, terrific chicken options, mashed potatoes and gravy, and a pretty nice selection of dessert. Not sure why some of the reviews are for 1 star. I really hope they weren't expecting an authentic Chicago pizza place when they know it's a buffet named "pizza ranch".... Also, the atmosphere is great. Very on theme, and clean.

Buffet was good, staff was friendly, they'll even make any specialty pizza for you. They had a descent salad bar, but for being a pizza buffet they could have more choices of pizza to choose from.

Overall a pretty good choice for the family. I would rank it higher but I felt it is overpriced. I spent my whole time trying to eat my money's worth and disappointed that my kids weren't eating enough to equal what we paid. The salad bar had items that were very tasty and fresh for a buffet place. They have some pizzas that are unique that you wouldn't get at another pizza place. Good dessert pizzas finish of the meal right. The staff is very attentive to clearing your used dishes. Probably the biggest downfall is the rude clientele that don't watch where they are going and hover around the pizza bar waiting for the next pizza to come out. This could have been prevented if the restaurant was better planned and had a larger area for the pizzas. There are worse places to eat in the dells and there are better. If you are in town a couple days I would definitely recommend adding it to your list to try, but make sure you are all hungry enough to eat your money's worth.

Food is good for the price. Help was well trained and everything was clean. This is a brand new Pizza Ranch and we found it headed to another Pizza Ranch(weird). It was very comforting seeing the manager or owner checking temps of everything with a thermometer and then recording it all.

Really good food! The have typical american food like chicken, mashed potatoes, delicious biscuits, salad, and many pizzas. You can even order a custom made pizza and they will make it and share it with other customers. Really good food and good experience overall!

  • Dan J.

I gave this 4 stars due to being a upscale pizza buffet. The pizza is way better than cici's, papa johns, pizza hut, & most other chain delivery type pizza places. They had a nice salad bar with many items to top the salads with. They also have phenomenal fried chicken, done with perfection, nice spicing & oh so moist. I say give this place consideration as it is a great dining value. WAY TO GO PIZZA RANCH.

  • Michael S.

This place is between a 2 and a 3. The pizza we ordered was kind of chewy, but it wasn't the worse pizza we've had nor was it the best. Price is decent, but not great deal. If the pizza quality were a bit better or the price more of a value I'd bump this up to a solid 3.

  • Marie S.

Just ick!!!!!! It's like the 99 cent buffet on Chevy Chases' Vegas vacation....avoid!!!!! *and I'm not a "fine dining" kind of person either, so take note...it's REALLY BAD! Don't know who these other Yelpers are giving it more than 1 star??!!?? Weird!?!?!

  • Kacey M.

This place is amazing! The bad reviews are complete bogus and not right. The location doesn't show up on imaps correctly but if you type in 1131 Wisconsin Dells Pkwy, Baraboo, WI 53913, United States it brings you there. The device was outstanding, the food was really good my family loved the Cactus Bread. For the buffet they ask if you want a specialty pizza! Go check this place out right now!!!

Similar to the first reviewer, we came here because we could eat a horse and decided that, while a chain, Pizza Ranch was a better value in terms of buffet than Pizza Pub would be (pizza, chicken AND salad for $9 versus only salad and soup for $9). We never did get to Pizza Pub, so I can't compare, but we were happy with Pizza Ranch. Not so happy to find out that on the weekends they charge the same for lunch and for dinner (not so on weekdays), but we paid it anyway because we were already there and not about to battle our way across Wisconsin Dells Parkway again just to find a new place to eat. The food is pretty good, decent quality, though they run out fast so if they just served your favorite slice, grab it quick before it's gone or you'll have to wait for the next one! They have long tables for groups, but if you have more than like 10 people I wouldn't recommend trying it, especially not during peak times. Otherwise it was pretty quiet and clean and the staff were courteous and prompt about clearing up.

Could have been cleaner. Very crowded, lots of annoying screaming children ( I realize, families need to eat, but there is a limit to how much noise is acceptable, and I'm easy going. When your child is literally shrieking, please, shush them. They'll thank you later, when they grow up to be civilized grown ups that can play a part in society.) Food was alright, but I probably wouldn't return. Just wasn't my thing. Maybe when I have a screaming child of my own.

Pizza Ranch in Wisconsin Dells is a great place to go if your hungry and looking for some great food. The facility is poor quality, the bathrooms often stink, the floors are dirty. The ceiling looks funny so overall ill give the facility a 4/10 The staff is friendly and helpful the customer service I revived was great 9/10 Great food pizza, specialty pizza, Desert pizza, chicken, Potatoes, and salad. Ill give the food a 9/10. Overall I think the pizza ranch in Wisconsin dells is a good value and heat stop. I've been in contact with pizza ranch the manager said they will be moving into a new faculty within the year. Overall rating is 7/10.
